We love it when players share Whirled with their friends. Sharing Whirled with others not only makes it more fun, it also allows you to participate in our Affiliate Program to earn coins and bling!

You can share Whirled in a lot of ways.

Invite Friends

The Invite Friends interface.

If you'd like to invite friends to join Whirled, go to the Me tab, select the Friends link in the blue bar and click on the orange "Invite Them!" button.

For email invitations, you can import addresses from your email account if you use:

The invitation email will come from a threerings.net server. The standard text of the email looks like this:

If your friends join through your email invitation links, they will automatically be added as your friend.

Invite a Friend to Join Your Multiplayer Game

When you join a multiplayer table and there is still room at the table for more players, the window will give you a link to use to invite friends to join your game. You can also tweet the link on Twitter!


Share a Game by Using "Share or Embed This Place"

After you start playing a game, you can share the game you're playing by clicking on the Share or embed this place button (Icon-share or embed.png) in the toolbar below the game. The different options for sharing games are outlined below in the section about sharing rooms. Get a SWF is only available if you are the creator that uploaded the game. Sharing games also allows you to participate in the Affiliate Program.


Share/Embed This Place

You can share your room or a game by clicking on the Share or embed this place button (Icon-share or embed.png). The different options for sharing are outlined below. Get a SWF is only available if you own the room or are a manager for the group that the room belongs to. Sharing rooms also allows you to participate in the Affiliate Program.

Social Networks

This option gives you a window to share your room in Facebook, MySpace, digg or Twitter.

You can share your rooms and games with friends on social networks. Just click on the appropriate link for Facebook, MySpace, digg or Twitter.

For Facebook, you will get a popup to share it as a link. For rooms that you own, the room preview snapshot will show up as an option for the link image.

For MySpace, you will get a popup with options to post an embed to your Blog, Bulletin or About Me.

For digg it, you will get another browser tab open with the digging information.

For Twitter, you will get another browser tab open to login to Twitter and then the message will be filled in for you to click on update.


Email

Fill this form out to send your friend an email with a link to the room.
Note: Email addresses entered into this form are not saved or used for any other purpose by Three Rings.

After you fill it out and click on Send, Whirled will send an email (originating from threerings.net) that looks like this:

From: <YOUR_ACCOUNT EMAIL>

To: <YOUR_FRIEND'S_EMAIL_> Subject: <YOUR_CURRENT_DISPLAY_ NAME> wants you to see <ROOM_NAME>

Grab the Link

This option gives you a link that you can paste anywhere.


Embed It

This option gives you code to paste onto a website or blog that allows embedding code.

Some websites, such as Facebook and deviantART do not support this. If you want to post on those websites, use the SWF method below.


Get a SWF

This option is only available if you are the owner of the room or manager of the group that the room belongs to. For games it is available only if you are the creator that uploaded the game.

Clicking on "Download SWF" will take you to a browse screen where you can choose the name of the file and where to save it on your computer. Then you can upload your SWF file to sites such as deviantART or use it on a website.
