Template

Any Whirled can set a room as a home template. The home template is the basis for free home room given to new players if they enter Whirled through a themed Whirled with a home template.

Requirements for a Room to be a Template

A Home Template room must follow certain rules:

• The room you designate as a template must be marked by that Whirled.
• Furniture and other objects in the home template room need to be marked for the Whirled and listed by the Whirled's brand.

Setting a Room as a Home Template

Only a manager for a group with a themed Whirled can set a room as a home template.

You can click on the name of a room while viewing your rooms or you can click on the Room icon in the control bar and select the Comment or rate option.

From this screen, you should first make sure the room has been Marked for the Whirled that you want to use it as a template for.

Use the dropdown menu to select your group's name and then click on the "Mark" button.

The room will then be marked as part of your group's Whirled.

Next, click on the "Set as Home Template" button.

The room will then be set as a home template for the group's Whirled.

Viewing Template Rooms for a Group

You can view the template rooms for your group if you are a manager. Just click on the "Template Rooms" link on the group page.

This group has one home template room.

While it is possible to set more than one room as a home template, you should only set one room as a home template. Multiple home templates for a new player to choose from may be implemented at a later time.

Errors Associated with Home Templates

If all the items in the room are not branded by the group's brand, you will get an error and be unable to set the room as a Home Template.

If you try to add an item to the room that is not branded by the group's brand, you will get an error and the item will not be added to the room.

Home Rooms Based on the Home Template

• All the actual home rooms created from the template are also marked by that Whirled.
• As a marked room, furniture, avatars and other items allowed in that room are restricted to those marked for that Whirled.

The player can unmark their home room (in the rate/comment view), opening it up for the entire barrage of furniture and avatars.

You can click on the name of a room while viewing your rooms or you can click on the Room icon in the control bar and select the Comment or rate option. Then click on the "Unmark" button to unmark your room.
